Coaches
I began swimming when I was 8 years old in Herriman, Utah. In High School I had the amazing opportunity to be part of the first class of Mountain Ridge High School to compete for all 4 years of athletics there, through the obstacles of the COVID pandemic I fell in love with the sport of swimming, as team captain I lead the team to be 2x region champions and held 4 school records. I have coached the JL Sorenson Squids and in 2023-2024 I was the assistant coach for the region champion Cedar High school. I have coached with the Wasatch Front Fish Market year round team since May of 2024. I hope to leave athletes with positive and joy-filled experiences in the pool, and help them develop into champion athletes and people! I am currently going to school for History and Social Science Education.
When I was 6 years old my mom put me in swimming lessons in England because “we lived on an island!” I continued with lessons when we moved to New Jersey, and when I was 10 years old I made the swim team. It was through the swim team that I discovered my love for the water, love for competitive swimming, and made many close friendships that I still enjoy today. I joined the Wasatch Front Fish Market when my family moved to Utah and continued to enjoy training, competing, and making friends over the next few years. My senior year in High School I was the captain for the Cottonwood High School swim team where I was able to encourage and support my teammates at all of our school meets. I am a student and swimmer at Western Colorado University where I have spent the past year training, swimming, and coaching kids for the swim team in Gunnison. I love both coaching and working with kids and am majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Coaching. Throughout the years, swimming has brought me so much joy in my life and my goal is to spread that joy to the next generation of swimmers. I am excited to coach for the Treehouse Summer Swim Team this summer!
The water has always been a second home to for me, but especially over the past five years swimming has been my passion. Competitively swimming for over 6 years and a coach for 4, I am thrilled to be starting with the Treehouse Summer Swim Team in 2025! Being able to foster positive changes in the lives of others is my mission.
